4 MONTHS & COUNTING – THE TALES OF TWO ELEPHANTS!
Let me tell you a story as we hope on…
There was once a jungle where everything went smoothly, peacefully and according to plan until situations changed for the worse after some years later. That is a story for another day…no vex!
In this jungle, amongst other powerful animals, I know of two Elephants, these two cannot but remain at war with each other – for many years now. Being the biggest animals in the jungle, they are always dreaded by the grasses whenever they fight, even though they are not feared too much by most animals in the jungle because whenever they are at war, the grasses that take the fall for it.
These two animals are known for their biennial fights that leave the grasses helpless and hopeless, as their only hope is to seek solace in prayers and take a very nice sitting position with their fingers crossed while they are being mercilessly trampled upon by these two bullies. The representatives of the grasses too are not living up to expectations, anyway. So, who do we blame?….atleast, they’ve had their own share of the jungle’s “national moin-moin”.
One peculiar thing about these two Elephants is that in the jungle, they turn deaf ear to all pleas, even the ones made by the king of the jungle and other chiefs in the jungle and major Stake Holders – the cunning Snake, the smart Tortoise, the good-for-nothing Lion, etc….when they (stake holders) have never been responsible nko???
It is however unfortunate that the king of the jungle and the council of chiefs are not responsive to the issues between these Mammoths and this endangers the continuous existence of the jungle, as the growth and development of the grasses which are being crushed is pivotal to the to the development of the jungle….I hope they know this sha!!!
Having known that the king of the jungle is quiet on the issues between the Elephants, it is also important to note that one of the Elephants is also hypocritical about the issue at hand as its demands in order to settle the dispute are far from being able to be met by the king of the jungle who has employed some efforts at resolving the dispute, even though they want the best for the jungle…..should we call this nonchalance versus greed?
We hereby call on well-meaning members of the jungle to help in settling the dispute between the two Elephants to save and protect the growth and development of the grasses that are taking the fall from the fights. That’s if there’s anybody that’s well-meaning!!!
